The importance of calcium:
- Calcium is a “high-quality nutrient” that can improve yield and quality and extend shelf life. Calcium needs to be supplemented throughout the growth cycle of crops to maintain sufficient levels in plant tissues and ensure healthy development of crops.
- Calcium in plants is essential for the construction of cell walls. Insufficient calcium supply will hinder the realization of this important function, leading to abnormal growth and deformation of root tips, young leaves and bud tips.
